Welcome to Fifth Grade!! I am so excited to be a part of your educational experience this year! This is my 17th year of teaching. Every year is a new adventure, and I know that you will enjoy all the opportunities that this school year will bestow upon you.

I am blessed with a wonderful family who I enjoy spending time with. I am married to Dr. Tim Sellers who is an optometrist here in Adel at Family Vision Care. I have two daughters named Madison and Mackenzie. As a family, we enjoy spending time together. Also, the girls are involved in extracurricular activities which keep us busy as well.

I attended Cook County Schools, and I graduated from Cook High School in 2001. In 2005, I graduated from Valdosta State University with an Early Childhood Education Degree. Also, I graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Master’s Degree in 2010. In May 2019, I graduated with an Education Specialist in Instructional Technology with Library-Media Add-on Degree.

This is going to be a fantastic year full of fun and learning! This quote molds my philosophy of education, “Who dares to teach must never cease to learn.” ~John Cotton Dana. As an educator, I am a lifelong learner, and I learn something new every day. I anticipate this year with great excitement as we embark upon the wonderful journey of fifth grade together!
