Education:

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University in 1990. After several years of serving in the healthcare field, I chose to pursue my lifelong passion for education. I was drawn to teaching because of the opportunity to inspire students, make a meaningful impact on their lives, and help them reach their full potential. In 2011, I received my Master's Degree in Special Education from Valdosta State University. 

Experience:

Since 2005, I have proudly served in the Cook County School System, teaching a variety of subjects across multiple grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade. These diverse experiences have strengthened my instructional skills and allowed me to support students with a wide range of academic and individual needs.

Greetings!

I am a lifelong resident of Cook County and the mother of three beautiful daughters: Kirsten, Kaitlin, and Kinsley. I also have two beloved dogs named Kolby and Hazel. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, reading, and completing a craft project.

After spending many years teaching at the middle school level, I joined Cook Elementary School in 2017. Since then, I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching elementary-aged students and helping them grow academically and personally. I am excited to partner with students and families to make this school year a successful, engaging, and rewarding experience for everyone.
