I began my teaching career in 2003 as a special education teacher in Colquitt County.  After three years there, I decided to get closer to home and made the move to Cook County Schools. I currently co-teach 5th grade Math and Language Arts at Cook Elementary School, providing support to students in both general and special education environments.  

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Valdosta State University.  I later went on to receive my Master of Education in Early Childhood from Georgia Southwestern State University. 

It is my belief that every child is capable of learning and can be successful. They simply need the encouragement to believe in themselves!
