I am Ms. Emily Philpot, and I have been teaching 5th grade since 2016. I graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in May 2016, and in June 2017, I graduated yet again with a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. In June 2019, I graduated with a Specialists Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southwestern State University.

Biography

I was born and raised in Cook County. I graduated from Cook High School in 2011. I currently reside in Cook County. I have a love for students and for teaching. Nothing can make my day more than seeing the smile of a student when "things finally click." I believe each student can be successful if we can meet them where they are and foster their talents.

My favorite quote is:

"Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believe it is stupid."

This speaks truth into my purpose as a teacher. Because no two students are the same, I promise to strive to help each student find their talents to become successful.
